Yesterday I joined Mayor Fenty, DDOT Director Gabe Klein, and Commission on the Arts and Humanities Director Gloria Nauden to dedicate the new plaza at Columbia Heights at the intersection of 14th Street, Kenyon Street and Park Road.

 

The plaza features seating, new landsacping, and an interactive fountain.  This project is part of the Columbia Heights Public Realm Project which is currently underway.

 

It's great to see this fountain completed after so many years of hard work from the community.  I encourage you all to walk by and see the fountain in action before the weather changes.
