  1. Cutting through 20 years of dissent and debate, the Adams Morgan garage, now with mixed use with condominiums, is built.
  2. The Tivoli Theater, mired in controversy for 20 plus years, is home to the Gala Hispanic Theatre, several new shops and a new Giant food store.
  3. Once devastated by Metro construction, the areas of U Street and Columbia Heights are now benefiting from Metro development.
  4. Six DC government-owned parcels in Columbia Heights have been awarded and are on their way to development, with significant set asides for true affordable housing.

  6. Large 14th Street affordable housing centers - 2900 14th Street, Trinity Towers, Clifton Terrace, and Fairmont I and II -- are being preserved principally for low income residents -- averting the fears of gentrification.
  7. Georgia Avenue is on the verge of new era, with a new police station, new lighting and streetscape, storefront improvements, and rehabilitated recreation centers at Banneker and Park View.
  8. After decades of use as commuter speedways, 13th Street and 15th Street (at the park above Florida) now have nonrush hour conditions and appropriate traffic calming. Neighborhood safety is now improved, and parking is expanded.
  9. The City is cracking down on irresponsible ABC license holders throughout the Ward.
