CM Graham Asks Comcast Cable to Carry New Gay Channel
Washington, DC – Last week marked the launch of “Logo,” a new cable channel geared toward gay and lesbian audiences and owned by MTV/Viacom. Councilmember Jim Graham (D-Ward One) has sent a letter to Comcast Corporation, the District of Columbia’s largest cable television provider, asking the company to include the new channel in its basic cable lineup. Currently, only RCN (formerly Starpower) offers Logo in the District.
“I can’t think of a better place than the District of Columbia to build a loyal audience for Logo,” said Councilmember Graham. “We’re known around the world for our LGBT communities and nightlife, and who doesn’t love a nice evening in front of the television?”
