Committee to Vote on East Dupont Liquor License Moratorium

Washington, DC – The Committee on Consumer and Regulatory Affairs, chaired by Councilmember Jim Graham (D-Ward One), will mark-up and vote tomorrow on Proposed Resolution 16-329.

The Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) Board recently voted to extend the East Dupont Circle liquor license moratorium for three years and to approve three additional liquor licenses – for a total of 22. The Council must approve this ABC Board action for it to take effect, and PR 16-329 would grant that approval.

The resolution was introduced July 5 by Chairman Linda Cropp at the request of Mayor Anthony Williams.
